The Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust embarked on the redevelopment of An Laimhrig (The pier centre) at the beginning of 2021. An Laimhrig houses the toilets/showers, craft shop, grocery shop and Galmisdale Bay Cafe and Bar. Phase 1 has been completed which means we have a stand alone shower and toilet block with laundry and drying room. Phase 2 which started in September consists of a complete refurbishment of the present building along with an extension to this building. To enable the new building to be open for the start of the summer season 2022 we will be closing on September the 29th for the winter/early spring. This means there will not be cafe/bar facilities or a craft shop until the new building opens. The shop will continue to operate.
All opening hours may be subject to change at short notice depending on demand.
Please note, that due to social distancing, we only have 4 tables in doors with a maximum seating of 20 people. We do have outside seating on the south side of the building. All tables will be allocated on a first come first served basis during the day, we will not be taking table bookings. Table service will be in operation internally and externally.
Our Evening Menu is served between 6pm and 7.30pm on the nights we are open. Booking in advance is essential and at the moment it would be great if people could pre-order as well. (See evening menu on Menu’s page)
Our opening hours until the 29th of September are:
